PLASMAN Inc. is a full service supplier to the automotive OEMs with its 6 highly automated manufacturing facilities and production of world-class products.  We offer dedicated plants for tooling, molding, paint and assembly operations of Class "A" exterior trim products and sub-systems to a variety of OEM and Tier 1 customers.

We are presently looking for a new member to join our Windsor Plant 3 team as:

 

HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

 

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Oversee accurate completion of weekly payroll(s) processing, along with associated reporting and tasks
  • Oversee accurate completion of daily time recording in ADP Workforce Now, hourly employee swipe card system
  • Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, responsible for commencement of claims management process including investigation of incidents, completion of required forms and reporting on all WSIB claims
  • Administering all employee benefit claims and administrative changes through all vendor providers
  • Administering accurate company group registered savings plan
  • Coordinating company training needs and maintaining records
  • Maintaining an accurate human resources system including employee personnel files and associated tasks
  • Maintaining an effective hourly performance evaluation system
  • Assist with maintaining an effective salaried performance management system including job descriptions, performance discussions and performance evaluations
  • Coordinating all employee vacation time and vacation pay records
  • Effectively managing employee absenteeism, attendance program, reports
  • Assist with recruitment tasks for all internal and external available positions
  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of the Health and Safety program
  • Consulting with supervisors in maintaining positive employee relations and safe work environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as required
  • Maintaining all HR plant related forms and documents to TS16949/ISO9001 standards
  • During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary
  • Updating of monthly measurables and headcount reporting
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvements to human resources systems, policies and procedures
  • Collect and analyze HR data and make recommendations as necessary
  • Assist in performance management and conduct corrective actions as required
  • Evaluate and act in a timely manner with regards to personnel issues
  • Attending to employee questions on  policy and/or payroll related questions or concerns
  • Applicants should be familiar with employment legislation including the Workers' Compensation Act, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Bill C45, Bill168, WHMIS, Human Rights Code and any other related legislation.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must possess post-secondary Diploma or equivalent with preference given to those who possess a human resources related degree/diploma/major, or have completed or are working towards the completion of the C.H.R.P. designation with equivalent relevant work experience.

 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in human resources, including a minimum 1 year payroll related experience
  • Familiarity with and ability to interpret and apply employment legislation which includes the Workers' Compensation Act, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, Bill C45 – Due Diligence, WHMIS Regulations, Pay Equity Act, Ontario Human Rights Code and any other related legislation.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity, trust and composure and is seen as approachable by all levels of the organization
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Automotive experience is an asset.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-tasked environment.
  • Possess sound financial and business insights.
